Serve as a member of the Print Station Interface Platform (PSIP) team and engage in software development for a variety of Printer product programs targeted at the office and production environments. Develop Java-based applications and web services for printer device diagnostics; touch UIs, Print Engine integration activities, and manufacturing automation activities. Work in a small group performing a variety of programming, integration and testing activities. Develop software for embedded devices (Java SE) as well as web-based device-centric services (Groovy/Grails). Collaborate with software team members and other cross-functional teams in order to see projects to completion in an environment utilizing Agile and Lean SW Development Principles. Maintain a variety of legacy systems based on Java, Swing, SWT, Groovy, Grails, and FitNesse. Responsible for all aspects of the software delivery process including gathering requirements, designing and developing software solutions, ensuring similar practices within the team, documenting software implementations, and investigating and solving problems. Work with customer representatives to gather, detail, document, and clarify requirements at the beginning of a new project. Design and implement OO-based solutions and add to automated regression testing content; utilize continuous integration servers.

Candidate Education:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree

Candidate Experience:

2 to 3 years of java development experience or related experience.

Candidate Background:

Minimum Have experience delivering Java and embedded Java-based multi-threaded touch, web-based and client user interface applications

Minimum Have experience developing multi-level architectures utilizing communications protocols such as RPC, HTTP and Google Protocol Buffers.

Minimum Have experience working with Web Services development and supporting technologies including: Groovy/Grails, JavaScript, XML, and HTML/CSS.

Minimum Have experience using integrated development environments such as IntelliJ/Eclipse, and industry-standard configuration and process management tools such as ClearCase and ClearQuest.

Minimum Have demonstrated knowledge of software development methodologies and sound coding practices, including Agile and Lean SW Development Principles, Scrum methodology, and unit and automated testing.

Minimum Have demonstrated knowledge of Grasp Design principles and advanced Object Oriented design patterns such as Model/View/Controller UI architecture.

Minimum Have experience setting up and working in both Linux/Unix or Windows environments.

Minimum Haveexperience coordinating with cross-functional design teams to deliver quality software application features on time and within budget.
