Xerox Innovation Portfolio Manager in United States

Xerox is seeking an Innovation Portfolio Manager to manage the set of research projects aimed at delivering value for Workplace Solutions and Managed Document Services.

This role is an important member of the Offering Incubation and Technology Strategy team within Research and Product Development, operating at the intersection of business and technical teams. It will be critical to understand and influence the strategies and offering roadmaps of business groups, and then engage researchers to define high-value research projects and ensure effective delivery by working closely with engineering teams within the Global Development Group. This role will be based in Webster, NY or Palo Alto, CA, and will require spending significant time with business group stakeholders, engineering partners, and researchers across global locations.


  • Understand and influence business strategies and offering roadmaps of business groups within Workplace Solutions and Managed Document Services through active listening and contributing new ideas based on new technologies and emerging market trends as well as customer engagement.

  • Understand new technologies and offering concepts from Xerox research teams and connect them with business groups and other partners to define and evaluate research projects with clear business cases that can lead to attractive new business opportunities, differentiate existing offerings, or significantly reduce cost or improve effectiveness of offering delivery.

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of research projects that can deliver near-term value and bridge to longer-term new business opportunities.

  • Coordinate regular project reviews to review progress and solve problems, and coordinate the process of defining new projects for Workplace Solutions and Managed Document Services during the annual planning process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in engineering or business discipline with expertise in market analysis, business planning, innovation strategy, or equivalent.

  • 7 years of experience in an innovation, strategy, product development, or program management role in B2B technology companies.

  • Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative, environment with excellent organizational and analytical abilities, customer and partner communications skills, and a problem-solving aptitude.

  • Demonstrated ability to bridge business and technical teams through effective communications and program management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced technical degree.

  • Familiarity with the Workplace Solutions and Managed Document Services business groups.

  • Understanding of emerging technologies and related commercialization strategies and business models.
