Xerox Project Management Information System Administrator, Real Estate in Virtual, New Jersey

The Real Estate Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) Administrator will have a strong background in real estate or business analysis, working knowledge of key project management concepts and working knowledge of and experience with SQL(required). The work in this position will focus on SQL report and dashboard creation, creating system integration requirements, and providing user administration, support and training for a Project Management Information System (PMIS).

The role will be within the Xerox Real Estate Information Management team and will support activities required by championing document and process standards during Capital Improvement and ongoing Facilities Management (FM) projects.

The scope of the assignment will at times include

  • the methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of all or part of business functions or processes

  • defining of requirements for improving any aspect of the processes and systems and quantification of potential business benefits

  • creation of viable specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation for the system, process or reporting enhancements

  • documenting procedures and training guidance on business process

  • create, modify and investigate SQL reports

The qualified candidate will have computer-based, web-based or cloud-based document management, project controls or cost management experience within the Design and Construction or related industry. This position is responsible for project managing activities. These activities require cooperation and coordination between groups of individuals that span the entire Real Estate organization – planning, scheduling, cost controls, project administration/management and other project controls.

The PMIS administrator performs a variety of system administration functions using the PMWeb application, past experience with PMWeb is desirable, but not required with similar software exposure.

Responsibilities/Key Tasks :

  • Investigates operational requirements and problems, contributing to improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.

  • Investigates, designs and builds reports and information dashboards to assist client decision making.

  • Works with colleagues, vendors and clients/users:

  • specifying information flows, processes/procedures and data objects that will meet the business requirements.

  • investigate and model business functions, processes, information flows and data structures, using methodical and consistent techniques.

  • investigate operational requirements and problems, contributing to improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes/procedures, and organization.

  • Monitor documentation and users usage adheres to the established standards, methods and tools.

  • Takes part in client/user meetings and assists in presenting issues and solutions both orally and in writing.

  • User administration and training

  • SQL report writing (required)

  • PM Web experience (desirable)

  • Design, Construction, Architecture, Real Estate Development or Facilities Management exposure.

  • Experience in document management, system administration, data governance.

  • Experience in Project Management (desirable)

  • Experience in business change/transformation techniques and processes

  • Comfortable with technology; word processing, spreadsheet, and database software preferred

  • Strong administration skills.

  • Strong knowledge of an Electronic Document Management Systems, Document Control Tools, or Collaborative Project Management software

  • Good written and oral communication, attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrable ability to interact effectively with project professionals and management.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or Construction Administration, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
