The Senior Financial Accountant reports to the Senior Manager, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Reporting and is responsible for assisting in the preparation of a number of quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes. This position participates in the monthly financial closings, prepares and maintains documentation and support and assists in special projects as needed. This individual may also be responsible for reviewing the work of others within the department or from the company’s divisions.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly andannual consolidated financial statements including the Statements of Cash Flowsand Balance Sheets

  • Participate in the preparation of the quarterly andannual consolidated financial statements of Comprehensive Income andShareholders’ Equity

  • Assist in the accounting for complex areas including butnot limited to business combinations and equity transactions

  • Prepare monthly financial schedules for internalreporting purposes

  • Prepare several quarterly and annual footnotes anddisclosures

  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate correctiveactions as necessary

  • Perform certain monthly accounting activities includingthe preparation of journal entries

  • Prepare account reconciliations and balance sheetmovement schedules as needed

Background, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required

  • CPA certification required

  • 4 years public accounting experience required,preferably with Big Four

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills

  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP

  • Comfortable interacting with internal and externalauditors

  • Motivated, team-player

  • Strong planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work independently
