OVERVIEW :

As a Mailroom & Print Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently managing incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and other forms of correspondence within an organization. Your role is crucial in maintaining smooth operations and ensuring timely delivery. Let’s delve into the details:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

RECEIVING & SORTING -

  • Receive incoming mail, packages, and deliveries

  • Sort and categorize items based on their destination or department

PRINTING JOBS -

  • Run print jobs and deliver to end user

  • Use various binding techniques as required

DISTRIBUTION & DELIVERY:

  • Deliver mail and packages to the appropriate offices, departments, or individuals

  • Use mailroom equipment (such as weighing scales and labeling machines) to handle packages efficiently

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT -

  • Maintain inventory levels of office supplies, including boxes, envelopes, and labels

  • Stock and replenish copy paper, printer supplies, and other essentials

RECORD KEEPING -

  • Keep accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail

  • Assist with tracking outgoing shipments and maintaining logs

ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT -

  • Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and faxing

  • Pack and ship items as needed

CUSTOMER SERVICE -

  • Provide courteous service to faculty, staff, students, and visitors

  • Serve as an informational resource regarding mailroom procedures

SKILLSET, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with mail methodology and regulations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word)

  • Ability to operate mailroom tracking software

  • Physical capability to lift and move packages (up to 25kg)
