This position plays a key role in the pursuit of new business, understanding the client’s requirements to craft winning and deliverable solutions. This position is also the key interface between bid pursuit, service transition and service delivery.
The role holder provides solution architecture expertise leading to the successful win, implementation and delivery of Xerox Business contracts for Direct Business (MPS) & Partner Lead business (XPPS).

•Owning the client solution architecture post go-live, acting as a reference point to update/improve the solution as necessary based on changing client requirements
oBid/Sales Support - Supports Service Development Managers, Sales and Bid Managers in the presales phase of Xerox service(s) contract. Assists with the preparation and delivery of service contract proposals, bids and tenders.
oSolution Design Authority - Takes responsibility for all components input to solution design as well as to qualification and business approval meetings.
oTechnical Authority - Takes responsibility for technical input to solution design as well as to qualification and business approval meetings. Shapes and architects technical proposals – working with partner(s) where relevant - to be commercially acceptable to the customer and proposing solution/service trade-offs where relevant.
oCost and Risk – Defines the approach to solution development, controlling scope and the work of the solution design team in order to ensure an acceptable cost structure. Able to articulate the entire solution to a client or partner on a technical and business level, clearly identifying benefits and risks.
oIntegration – Co-ordinates and engages the supporting shared services and Service Delivery teams - as well as partner input where relevant - to develop seamless end to end solutions for customers.
oInfluence – Represents the company at customer forums, conferences, professional bodies to build the company’s reputation in the market place. Known expert in one or more of Xerox services offerings.
oBusiness Development – establishes customer requirements for a solution building strong relationships with relevant stakeholders in Xerox, customer organization and partners. Acts as a major influence in the customer choosing Xerox.
oRequirements and Design – designs innovative solutions, and where required can manage the work of different specialists – including partners and third parties - contributing to the design and implementation. Works with Xerox pursuit team to develop solutions and pricing.
oRe-use of Knowledge - Shares knowledge with colleagues to make a useful contribution to Xerox knowledge. Provides feedback to Service Development Managers to enable continuous improvement and learning from past experience. Updates and improves standard solution architect methodologies based on learning and customer requirements/feedback. Promotes knowledge sharing with other stakeholders.
oDue Diligence - May be responsible to lead the due diligence phase of bid pursuit and to validate and revise the solution as necessary.
oDevelopment Focus – Takes responsibility for own professional development. Additionally, contributes to the development of Solution Architect expertise and methodologies within Xerox by mentoring and coaching more junior colleagues. Supports talent acquisition activities.

Background and Experience
oRelevant experience of 15 years in similar/related industry
oA proven track record in complex technology based outsourced business, having worked in solution architecting, service delivery management or other IT related business functions
oSound experience in designing technology based services and solutions in response to clients’ key business drivers.
oShould have knowledge of Color Management & Colour imaging processes and technologies.
oRelevant Degree in computer science, information systems, graphic communications or equivalent.
