The role requires the holder to be a SAP Basis consultant with at least 5 years’ experience having the following responsibilities:-

1.Provide technical input to business changes from project start-up and through the development cycle, making recommendations as input to the design and build phase to ensure optimal development of the solutions. Evaluating the impact of the change on the technical environment including potential impacts on operational production environment costs from a hardware perspective, identifying the requirement for more servers or storage either independently or in conjunction with the enterprise architects.

2.Represent the Technical Services on the Change Review Board and Emergency Change Advisory Board

3.Represent the Technical Services Team on the project phase gate exit reviews providing input to the management decision teams.

4.Work with management team on Mandatory IT tasks including Hardware Refreshes, Software Product Refreshes and upgrades ensuring we maintain solution on current supported product base.

5.Work with the Service Providers on key Mandatory IT projects ensuring the timely delivery and quality of the deliverable.

6.Provide SME support to the Service Provider and Run organisation for Major Incidents when requested.

7.Support the development of additional features for Solution Manager

8.Be knowledgeable in perimeter tools to enable detailed discussions on extranet services and security impacts of change both internal and external.

9.Be knowledgeable in the interaction of SAP, Oracle, NAS Storage and the Linux layers and to be able to review system parameters and the interaction of the layers and work with the Service Providers to maintain a central documented repository of the parameters and a change history.

10.Provide support to the DR Drills as required and be the focal point for the DR Drill process, the current drill process is based on two data centres located within the UK with failover between the two sites.

The candidate will be required to work UK Office Hours as well as extension to these hours as and when required including public holidays and week-ends.

The qualifications and experience required should include the following areas

•SAP NW Certification

•SAP Training Courses: - SAPTEC, ADM100, ADM102, ADM106, ADM110, ADM200, ADM215, ADM225, ADM315, ADM325 & ADM505. Oracle PL/SQL

•UNIX and LINUX Administration Fundamentals.

•Windows 2008/12 Administration

•Networking Essentials and Web Dispatcher

•Solution Manager Related courses SM100 and ADM107.

•Familiarity with web based systems and best practices

The candidate will need a proven track record in the following:

-Candidate has to have had hands-on experience in system E2E implementation, support and upgrade (Version / EHP) activities and be prepared to carry out hands-on work in the development environment.

-Performing & documenting installations, upgrades and patching of SAP systems as well as databases (both) for ABAP and Java stacks - on PI/XI -7.X, BI-7.X, Solman 7.1/7.2, Portal 7.X, CRM 5.0/7.X, ECC 6.0X, ESS/MSS, SRM 7.X.

-Should have excellent System Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting Skills

-Database Sizing & Performance Tuning

-Understanding of SAP Security (Roles/Authorization & GRC 10.X)

-System copies (refreshes), restore and recovery of SAP systems in a Net Apps environment.

-Integration of SAP with other system (SAP as well as non-SAP).

-Preparation of build sheets, technical plans and team schedules.

Desirable

•Should have 5 years (Advanced SAP System Administration & SAP Netweaver Administration experience ) relevant experience and SAP certification will be preferable.

•Hands-on SAP BASIS troubleshooting experience in multiple SAP components like ECC,BW,CRM, SRM, BO,PI/PO, Solman, NW Gateway, Fiori, Oracle 12c/11g , Maxdb.

•SAP Infrastructure activities to include the development of the technical deliverables for SAP Basis and infrastructure projects.

•SAP application, database and data centre migration to include migrating SAP Oracle data from the source to target system and provide go-live support

•Solid knowledge in SAP BASIS practices, methodologies processes and governance frameworks, including but not limited to RunSAP, ITIL, SSAE16, and Sarbanes-Oxley

•Good Knowledge of ABAP & JAVA stack

•Should have scripting knowledge

•Understanding of MCOD environments & RAC (clusters) on RHL.

•CTS knowledgeram/project plan preparation and status updates
