Role, Purpose, and Scope

Participate in the day-to-day operations of Fixed Assets accounting for Xerox North America. Including, but not limited to:

  • Process transactions in the Fixed Assets sub ledger (Additions, Retirements, Transfers, Impairments, etc.) as well as the Capital Reporting System, ensuring compliance with established procedures, system of internal controls, and policies.

  • Prepare manual journal entries.

  • Prepare account reconciliations.

  • Assist in the support of management and other compliance (SOX, audit) data requests.

Major Responsibilities

  • Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills.

  • Builds knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers.

  • Solves a range of straightforward problems; uses previous experience to identify solutions.

  • May perform one or more of the following duties:

  • Prepares journal entries; maintains and reconciles ledger accounts

  • Prepares monthly reports

  • Prepares balance sheet reconciliations

  • Assists with audits by providing supporting records and documentation

  • Assists in preparing financial reports

  • All other duties as assigned

Background, skills, experience and qualifications

  • Associate or Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, with CPA/CA/CMA

  • 2 to 7 years of business experience demonstrating accounting knowledge

  • Excellent English (Written and Verbal)

  • Demonstrates Teamwork

  • Ability to utilize business and operational knowledge when analyzing results

  • Demonstrates sense of urgency and commits to action

  • Responds and adapts to change positively and productively

  • Ability to identify a problem

  • Ability to assess key factors

Primary Skillset Needs

  • Microsoft Office, Oracle General Ledger and Oracle Fixed Assets Sub Ledger Proficiencies

  • Require knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Desire knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Access

  • Desire knowledge of Hyperion Essbase
