The Xerox College Experiential Learning Program (XCEL) is designed to provide college students with practical work experience in their field of study, as well as prepare them for the professional world of work. Overall, the XCEL program provides a benefit to both Xerox and the students. Provide critical analysis on supply chain systems to optimize service level, inventory and spend.
Assignment can include:
Developing optimal forecasting algorithms for key products.
Developing a database that incorporates scenarios for equipment obsolescence planning
Completing inventory analysis for key products.
Completing logistics and freight analysis for key providers and lanes.
Being a team member on strategic inventory, manufacturing, and supply chain projects
Assisting in the definition of business requirements for freight specific metrics and associated reporting functionality.
Improving supply chain process cycle time and/or reduce process variation by developing data bases or basic web tools which eliminate/minimize manual process steps.
Developing process documentation (process flow charts, FAQ sheets, user guides, etc.) to sustain project benefits.
Working with Warehouse Supervisors and Production Control to learn the supervisor position and focus on process improvements, process/procedure creation and documentation as it relates to ISO compliance.
Supporting the management team for 50 nationwide District parts Centers by performing key data analysis and 3 rd party supplier management activities.
Supporting logistics groups relative to delivery routings or support of Spares Organization relative to Courier re-engineering.
Project management orientation (multiple tasks).
Independent work style (minimal supervision) but able to work well in a team environment.
Analytical & problem solving skills.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Students pursuing BS, MS in Information Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business or Logistics with Supply Chain focus
Must have cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher
Proficient with EXCEL and Access
Solid analytical skills and good sequential thinker
Basic knowledge of statistics and accounting desirable
