Senior Software Engineer:
Serve as a member of the Office Controller Embedded Software Development team, for a growing family of office multi-function and printer devices. Our development team is responsible for developing features which allow Xerox Office products and Document Processing Services to be integrated into the latest market technologies and mobile platforms.
Responsible for all aspects of the software delivery process including gathering requirements, designing and developing software solutions, ensuring similar practices within the team, documenting software implementations, and investigation and problem solving.
Design, implement, debug and unit test software for new and existing applications. Encourage a collaborative global work environment. Continuously improve and grow our existing common software platform. Implement Object Oriented design concepts. Create various automated Unit Tests using Googletest (for C ) and perform Test-driven development. Perform code analysis using static analysis tools. Develop design documents and Wiki pages.
Be a leader at a senior level providing guidance for more junior engineers. Have a sphere of influence that crosses platforms. Be able to communicate effectively with Product Development Teams, Product Integration Managers, Program Managers and effectively with the Engineering Staff.
Minimum Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Shows a systematic, analytical approach to problem solving.
Minimum Has good interpersonal skills and is confident in dealing with clients/users and suppliers. Excellent listening skills.
Minimum Above average verbal, written and presentation skills.
Minimum Above average proficiency using standard Office productivity applications pc-based analytical tools.
Minimum Has a broad and moderately deep knowledge coupled with working knowledge of the activities of those businesses and other organizations that use software systems.
Minimum Takes initiative to keep own and skills up to date and to maintain awareness of and, in own area(s) of expertise.
Minimum Technical knowledge and understanding of major technology areas, platforms, development processes and system lifecycles
Minimum Understands, explains and presents complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
