Xerox Workflow Solution Designer in United States

Overview

The Solution Designer will be assigned as the technical and business subject matter expert for OnBaseprojects, facilitating business process discovery sessions, applying best practices to create and document solution designs that satisfies client requirements, overseeing the implementation of the design to ensure it is delivered with quality, acting as a mentor to other project team members and maintaining close relationships with clients.

A successful project is delivered when:

· The technical deliverables are completed on time, with quality, within budget and to the client’s expectations.

· Open, active and constructive communication occurs with and between client, account and internal cross-functional team members to keep the project moving forward.

· The client is delighted with the service delivered and desires to do additional business with Xerox.

Technical Leadership Responsibilities

· Lead and facilitate discovery workshops, working with the client and project team members to gathering business requirements necessary to design a solution that meets the business needs

· Understand and interpret business requirements defined during the discovery workshop, matching against the Statement of Work to ensure information gathered is complete

· Create supporting business requirements and technical requirements documentation that will be used for implementation and to support the transition of the solution to the client’s system administrator(s) and steady-state support team

· Ensure that solutions are delivered with quality using leveraging industry best practices

· Work with project team and clients to plan the promotion of implemented solutions between environments and/or upgrades to the OnBase software

· Work with project team to ensure a smooth transition of the implemented solution to steady-state team members and client’s system administrator(s) after the implementation is complete

· Provide subject matter expertise in troubleshooting and technical support, as necessary; assist in the investigation and analysis of the root cause of software and system defects

· Support other team members by answering questions, providing implementation guidance and facilitating knowledge sharing

Project Leadership Responsibilities

· Serve as the primary technical/business process contact for clients and maintain close communication to ensure business requirements are understood and satisfied

· Identify out-of-scope requirements and work with the technical project lead to document the approach, schedule, cost and build a strategy for addressing the additional level of effort with the account team and client

· Work with the project team in the creation of a realistic project plan that comprehends all aspects of the solution’s design, test and training requirements, and go-live activities

· Assist in the development of unit tests and conducting testing of solution/workflow, integrations and/or other enhancements in non-production environments, as necessary

· Identify project and/or financial risks and address with team members, collaborating to develop a mitigation strategy when necessary; work with the Technical Project Lead to identify any impacts to the project plan and develop a strategy for sharing information with the client

· Work with training resource(s) to development documentation and training materials to ensure full understanding and use of the application for the business users

· Oversee the development and planning for user acceptance testing of new solutions, integrations and/or other enhancements to the solution design

· Participate in and contribute content for regular status and project-review meetings with the team members, clients and/or management, as required

· Work with the technical project lead and account/sales representatives to manage client expectations

· Assist the technical project lead, when necessary, in the management of third-party vendors project activities and number of hours charged against the project, ensuring all deliverables are met and delivered with quality

· Travel periodically (up to 25%) based on customer and business need

Business Development Responsibilities

· Assist in the development of client’s Statement of Work by providing services delivery content and conducting reviews prior to client signature

· Participate in pre-sales activities, as required, to support new business opportunities

· Work with sales and team members when new services or opportunities arise to secure new growth opportunities

Team Leadership Responsibilities

· Act as a mentor for solution installation and configuration engineers to assist in their professional development

· Work with management to identify team member skill requirements to ensure consistent and efficient delivery of solutions and to plan effective resource utilization

· Participate in process improvement activities to ensure best practices are leveraged

· Multitask effectively while assigned to multiple concurrent projects

· Be a trusted member of the Xerox team, championing teamwork and knowledge sharing across projects

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in related field, such as Management Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science

· 5 years of relevant work experience

· One or more Hyland OnBase certifications are strongly preferred (OnBase Ver. 13 or higher) such as:

  • OnBaseCertified System Administrator (OCSA)

  • OnBaseCertified Advanced System Administrator (OCASA)

  • OnBaseCertified Installer (OCI)

  • OnBaseCertified WorkFlow Administrator (OCWA)

  • OnBaseCertified WorkFlow Engineer (OCWE)

· Experience with remote server and application support tools & techniques is required (Remote Desktop, WebEx, GoTo Meeting, etc….)

· Experience with enterprise-class storage subsystem architectures and configuration is preferred

· Client hardware capture device (scanners, tablets, input and other capture devices) experience is preferred

· Experience with .Net scripting and development is desired

· Experience with SQL Server query development is desired

· Strong knowledge of personal computer systems and Microsoft Office (or other similar productivity applications to support e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheet applications)

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products

· Excellent interpersonal skills; able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of the Workflow Implementation Services team

· Excellent oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact

· Capable of identifying and completing tasks independently, with a sense of urgency and ownership

· Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously; able to adjust priorities accordingly complete tasks and deliver projects on-time

· Demonstrated success at maintaining high personal work standards
