Xerox Director of Professional Services (Global) in United States

The Director of Professional Services leads the Xerox Content Management Professional Services team. This team is focused on the Xerox ECM solution offerings in two key roles: pre-sales technical sales, and post-sales professional services delivery. The Director is responsible for all aspects of post-sales delivery of professional services projects, revenues, and customer satisfaction. The role is both technical and customer facing.

The Director serves as the primary architect of customer solutions. The Director leads and is responsible for growing XCM’s professional services business efforts. The Director is a representative of customer interests within XCM contributing on product definition and development. The Director is a “player/coach” responsible team leadership and direct participation in pre- and post-sales delivery activities.

This is a key role to help manage the new growth path for the DocuShare business to sell more packaged offerings to our customer base where building solutions on top of new DS Flex platform. Global role that leads all pre-sales, solutioning, transition and custom development teams.

Team leadership, development and management, guiding the XCM Solution Delivery and Solution Development teams

Professional Services business strategy, management, growth, and revenue including opportunity pipeline management, manpower management/assignment, revenue tracking, reporting and forecasting.

Developing methodologies for analysis and documentation of customer requirements.

Architecture of advanced solutions.

Customer relationship management including direct management of large/complex projects.

Pre-sales responsibilities include meeting SLA’s with sales teams, development and delivery sophisticated solution and technology presentations

Capable of hands-on delivery of post-sales professional services including:

  • Enterprise software solutions design, implementation, integration, test, and transition management.

  • Workflow solution analysis, documentation, and optimization, and implementation management.

  • Training development for software products and custom solutions.

  • Project and subcontractor management.


  • Experience and skilled in team leadership, development and management.

  • Experience in technical solutions sales, consulting and delivery.

  • Experience and proven success in technical sales to senior line of business and IT management

  • Experience in solution/project requirements gathering, documentation, cost analysis and estimation, and pricing support.

  • Experience in project planning and management and project management systems and tools.

  • Experience in coordination and management of customer resources and expectations.

  • Capable of assessing business costs, risks, and relationship needs

  • Experience in and knowledge of the Enterprise Content Management, Workflow, and Imaging business spaces, including competitive products, customer needs and issues, and the essentials of business process management, document management, imaging, workflow, and records management.

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Hands-on experience with server operating systems including Windows Server 2008 R2 & Windows Server 2012.. Linux experience is desirable.

  • Experience and familiarity with SQL database servers and client applications (Oracle, Microsoft, PostgreSQL, MySQL).

  • Experience and familiarity with web servers (IIS, Apache) and Apache Tomcat

  • Experience with competitive/alternative ECM, imaging, and workflow systems (Documentum, OpenText, FileNet, Content Manager, SharePoint)

  • Experience and familiarity with TCP/IP networking and networked applications.

  • Experience implementing network storage management and backup solutions.

  • Microsoft systems certifications or equivalent are desirable.

  • CDIA imaging certification is very desirable.

  • Ability to work cross functionallySupport senior management on defining future solutions and scaling strategy

Certification and Education Level

  • Experience with ECM and BPM systems is a must

  • B.S required, M.S or equivalent desired

  • At least eight years of directly relevant experience
