Purpose of the role

To supervise the Android testing team which includes scheduling workload within the team, tracking attendance and sickness, highlighting areas for improvement, training and mentoring, performing annual reviews and assisting in recruitment campaigns. These activities are to be performed on top of the day to day testing activities.

Job Responsibilities

§ Tracking attendance and sick leave within the Android.

§ Be a main point of contact for any technical escalations within the team.

§ Performing RTW (Return to Work) interviews upon return from sickness of team members.

§ Work with client and team members to schedule and track annual leave so that workload is not impacted.

§ Assisting me in recruiting for new test resources and drop-in sessions.

§ Having regular 1:1 meetings with the team members to ensure that any HR or work concerns or issues are raised.

§ Working with clients and team members on any performance issues.

§ Investigating any areas where process or performance can be improved and providing feedback to the client.

§ Working with the client to help schedule work within the teams.

§ Ensuring any learning tasks are completed within the team and scheduled in with clients.

§ Performing annual reviews with the team members. The content of the annual reviews would stay confidential within the Google environment, with a high level filtered version being communicated to myself.

§ Providing regular feedback to myself on any areas of concern such as workload or resource issues.

Technical Skills Needed

· Advanced knowledge of Android ecosystem

· Experience with Bug tracking and test case management tools.

· Advanced Android testing diagnostic skills.
