Job Title: Actuarial Consultant (Graduate)

Job purpose and objectives

Working within a team of qualified and part qualified actuaries, including: * Providing support to consultants across a portfolio of clients

  • Completing actuarial calculations and modelling

  • Preparing reports and other client materials

  • Establishing strong relationships with clients

  • Preparing for and attending client meetings

  • Participating in internal projects

  • Workflow planning and project management

  • Building a wide knowledge of UK pensions matters Alongside this, join the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries as a student member, studying to qualify as a Fellow (for further details see: ). A full study package will be provided.

Skills and competencies * Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Able to prioritise, organise and carry out tasks within deadlines

  • Proactive and driven

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong IT skills are desirable (in particular Microsoft Excel)

    Education / Qualification

  • A first or upper second class honours degree awarded/expected

  • Typically in a numerically-related subject such as Mathematics, Economics or Physics

  • Three A levels (or equivalent), including a minimum of grade B in Mathematics
