Xerox Senior FP&A Analyst, Business Operations in Rochester, New York

Job Responsibilities:

/The Senior FP&A Analyst, Business Operations will support the financial planning activities of the IT business operations organization. This support will consist primarily of the following;

  • Monthly/Quarterly Financial Outlooks, month-end close process.

  • Support planning, budgeting, performance management, and reporting. Will be required to maintain historical spend for year over year trend analysis and support the development of balanced scorecards. Monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

  • Annual budgetary planning including preparation and submission of annual plans. Will be a key contributor in determining cost allocations back to value chain partners, as well as in the development of annual planning guidelines. Must be able to effectively liaison between the service delivery teams and the value chain partners, where applicable.

  • Direct oversight of fixed assets, including awareness of the inventory and support of any internal audit or compliance activities associated with the fixed assets; i.e. directing physical inventories, processing asset transfers, write-downs.

  • Facilitate service delivery teams with procurement support as needed. This may require providing the service delivery managers with procurement and capital expense support.

  • Support of SOX or Compliance requests.

    Essential Skills/Knowledge/Certification:

  • 5 years of Financial Planning and Analysis experience.

  • Detailed understanding of financial budgeting and forecasting concepts and modeling.

  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statements.

  • Understanding of CAPEX and OPEX budgets and associated accounting.

  • Strong critical thinking skills, with an ability to identify issues with financial data and variances to outlook/plans. Must be able to effectively explain variances and develop processes to better manage variances.

  • Will be required to manage deliverables that may span multiple teams across multiple geographies. Effective organization, communication, and presentation skills will be necessary to facilitate the above responsibilities.

  • Strong PC skills required, including Microsoft Access, Excel, and PowerPoint. MS SharePoint, preferred

  • Ability to organize and analyze datasets.

  • Some knowledge of Essbase is desired. Familiar with using pivot table data within Excel to provide ad-hoc data analysis and reporting.

  • Ability to work with Senior Level staff to effectively communicate risks and opportunities within the financial plans/outlooks.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Eagerness to work on departmental/organization-wide projects.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with senior management.


    Bachelor’s Degree (Finance preferred), MBA a plus
