The Learning and Development Analyst is a senior level trainer who will conduct soft skills and technical training courses to support the Mississippi Medicaid account. The successful candidate uses needs assessment tools to determine effectiveness of training programs and interacts with functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses.

  • Conducts instructor-led training classes

  • Tracks training registration and completion data

  • Creates and distributes training class reports

  • Schedules training classes in accordance with client and account needs

  • Reviews and updates course material and procedure manuals

  • Evaluates need and develops new training material or programs

  • Evaluates training methodology

  • Interacts with functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses

  • Conducts follow up to determine effectiveness of course material

  • All other duties as assigned

Preferred Experience:

  1. A bachelor’s degree and two (2) years’ experience in training, education, staff development, personnel or a Medicaid program area. A master’s degree can substitute for one (1) year of experience and a doctorate can substitute for (2) years of experience. Experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

  2. Good oral and written communication skills.

  3. Classroom training delivery and development experience.

  4. Experience with computer-based training development.

  5. Experience Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced or expert level proficiency in Microsoft Word.

  6. Experience with Title XIX or XXI healthcare programs, including Medicaid, Medicare, or Child Health Insurance (CHIP) programs.
