Position Summary:

The Sales Assistant Vice President (AVP) is responsible for driving PrePass related sales for our Commercial Vehicle and Revenue Solutions (CVRS) line of business, and on behalf of our client HELP Inc. (an Arizona non-profit) Primary customers of PrePass are trucking companies. Services include weigh station bypassing, toll management, and related services.

Key Responsibilities:

The Sales AVP will report directly to the Managing Director and is responsible for ensuring that we are a dominant industry leader. The Sales Director will also be accountable for achievement of bookings targets, and report on overall and pursuit-specific sales and capture strategy to the Managing Director, and to our client.

The Sales AVP will manage a sales team consisting of sales and sales support functions. This person will work closely with the CVRS Managing Director, Finance Director and Operations AVP, particularly with regard to pricing, pipeline management, and meeting sales targets. The incumbent will create the vision, strategy, budget and schedules that are needed to accomplish this while having responsibility for three primary initiatives:

  • Sales Unit Leadership. Manage the PrePass sales organization including managing the overall sales administrative budget, quota compliance, and delivering new revenue demanded by the budget. Responsible for providing leadership to drive high performance from the sales team and highly successful bid decisions, strategies, proposals, teaming decisions, and contract closings.

  • Business Development. Coordinate the marketing and communications functions with our HELP Inc client, including advertising as well as publications, association participation, customized and general materials for use by sales teams and in proposals.

  • Strategic Positioning. Work directly with our management team and client to position the PrePass program for growth.

Experience Required:

  • 7 years of well-rounded sales management experience with product based services. Sales experience within in the trucking industry desired, but not required. Bachelor’s degree and MBA preferred.

  • Strong business and high-level business development acumen.

  • Record of driving revenue-generating opportunities through data analysis and out-of-scope work initiatives.

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization.

  • Record of success of and expansion of client business relationships.

  • Experience developing and managing sales budgets and marketing/communications budgets.

  • Experience developing and coordinating sales selling cycle and methodology, and evaluating and revising the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs and results.

  • Must have a strong track record of delivering services with positive customer and client results.

  • Record of successfully shaping outsourcing procurements toward optimal requirements and pricing structures.

  • Record of successful decision making with regard to teaming with other companies for single-bid and long-term go-to-market partnerships.
