· Perform administration functions and annual and periodic processing which adhere to established procedures (i.e. PA’s, PARs, etc.) · Process member packages for terminations, retirements, and deaths which include performing pension calculations, creating member communications, handling settlements · Quality Assured and/or reconcile pension payments · Monitor quality and aging of member cases in the system · Develop and maintain checklists, procedures and plan documentation · Use database to document issues and provide status updates · Produce ad hoc reports · Prepare the cyclical deliverables processing calendar · Create test plans and/or control groups · Perform user acceptance testing · Handle call escalations · Work with business partners to apply appropriate solutions to complex issues · Address quality issues as they arise
Skills and Experience:
· Post-secondary education and/or related work experience · 3 - 5 years experience in Defined Benefit pension plan administration is preferable · Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office Applications and essential computer functions · Fluency in French · Ability to meet deadlines · Strong accounting and mathematical skills · Strong analytical skills · Proven relationship building skills · Ability to handle and manage multiple tasks simultaneously · Client satisfaction focus and team-oriented work style · Ability to remain poised, patient, empathetic, tactful and composed while handling escalated issues · Solid oral and written communication skills - with particular emphasis on articulation and grammar · High ethical standards · Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
