_Functional Description_ * Evaluates Government Healthcare Solutions (GHS) proposals for potential use of graphics to enhance presentation and messaging * Designs and creates compliant, timely, and professional-quality artwork for GHS proposals, including proposal graphics, covers, presentations, and supporting materials * Designs original graphics from scratch using concepts communicated by proposal development teams. Interprets and documents art-related requirements of government RFPs and serves as the art interface with the proposal team * Gathers business and technical concepts, proposal win themes, and other business information from Government Healthcare Subject Matter Experts. Uses information gathered to form the basis for the design of highly informative and attractive proposal graphics * Participates in strategy meetings and conference calls to gather and communicate information concerning proposal requirements, scheduling, and the graphics process * Designs graphics to meet corporate branding guidelines, departmental standards, client instructions, and mandatory solicitation requirements * Illustrates concepts by designing draft graphics for approval; finishes graphics according to approved draft * Proofs/edits graphics, ensuring high quality proposal products * Maintains proposal graphics libraries—including baseline graphics—ensuring proper taxonomy and timely filing * Participates in formal proposal reviews, ensuring graphics are consistent with textual and other content * May be required to coordinate efforts with outside agencies, art services, etc. When required, communicates with vendors to secure supplies and assure on-time completion of outsourced work * Manages a team of graphic artists, including offshore staff, and mentors less experienced members of the team * Participates in proposal training, as required _Education and Experience_ * Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field from a recognized institution. In some circumstances, exceptional experience may be substituted for a degree. * A minimum of five years of experience in graphic design/art in a similar environment. * Strong analysis skills are required; must be able to understand business concepts and operations at a detailed level and use that understanding to design appropriate graphics * Experience in new business development, including proposal preparation, is preferred * Must be proficient in standard Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, and other applicable graphics packages * Familiarity with Sharepoint preferred * Must be able to show effective teamwork and strong communications skills * Must be able to work with minimal supervision, both independently and in a team environment * Must be willing to work extended hours to address last minute requests and meet stringent deadlines. * Must be willing to travel occasionally to attend proposal planning or review meetings
