The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified Accountant to join the global Treasury accounting team based at their Treasury Centre at Xerox Blanchardstown Dublin. As a Treasury Accountant, you will be part of a team that is responsible for global Treasury operations across all Xerox locations worldwide and you will have the chance to learn and develop in a fast-paced and stimulating environment.

The ideal candidate will have Accounting experience gained in industry or in practice and will be working towards an Accounting qualification. Xerox will provide Treasury training and sponsorship towards any outstanding exams within the relevant Accounting qualification. Excellent teamwork and organisational skills are essential, as well as an eagerness to learn and progress within the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts for 7 Treasury entities under US GAAP

  • Attend monthly management accounts review meetings

  • Assist in the preparation of the 10Q and 10K

  • Monthly analysis of all Xerox 3rd party derivatives, intercompany loans and other balance sheet areas.

  • Preparation of statutory accounts for three treasury entities, systems admin and “ad hoc” project work.

  • Reporting and Analysis:

  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts for 7 Treasury entities including booking journals.

  • Accounting for all of the external debt notes issued by Xerox Corporation

  • Preparation of statutory accounts under UK & Irish GAAP

  • Month end reporting deadline for P&L , Balance Sheet, Inter company , exchange etc

  • Assist with Budgeting

  • Quarter and Year End Reporting:

  • Assist in the Preparation of the financial footnotes for debt, financial instruments and fair value for inclusion in the 10Q and 10K SEC fillings

  • Resolution of all queries related to debt and derivatives

  • Statutory accounts preparation

  • Trial Balance/General Ledger:

  • Preparation and posting of journals to the Treasury Management System (TMS) Sungard Quantum

  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for review

  • Agreement of intercompany balances monthly in ECS

  • Set up and maintenance of hedge relationships in TMS

  • Accounting Support:

  • Provide field entities with their 3rd party derivative valuations (mark to market) monthly

  • Accounting set up, support and monthly reporting for internal cash flow hedge programs of forecast transactions

  • Validation of GL reported cash balances and bank balances.

  • Assist Cash Operations and Foreign Exchange teams with accounting queries

  • Treasury projects support as required

  • Investigation of result anomalies

  • Compile global foreign exchange exposures for the operations team

  • Attend tax and capital planning calls.

  • Provide support to the US on corporate transactions

  • Business Degree or related qualification and be pursuing an accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CAI, IAT I or equivalent)

  • Previous Accounting experience in a multinational organisation or medium to large enterprise or accountancy firm

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Attention to detail and pragmatic approach to problem solving is key.

  • Resilient under pressure and able to adapt to unforeseen work demands at quarter and year end

  • Flexible attitude towards working patterns

  • Ability to multi task and satisfy competing demands and tight deadlines

  • Ability to work autonomously while maintaining a committed approach to team work

  • Knowledge of Treasury products would be an advantage but not necessary.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Business Degree or related qualification and be pursuing an accounting qualification.
