Position: State Reporting Technical Analyst (Workers' Compensation)
Location: onsite Irvine, CA
Assist in the ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the technical aspects of the state reporting program.
Development and maintenance of a State Reporting Issues log which will document an incident/issue’s root cause, impact to Customers and required timelines, planned actions for resolution, and effectiveness/timeliness of the solution.
Assists in monitoring of State Reporting Module (SRM) based transactions and EDI data transfers.
Initiates the identification of the root cause of low - mid level state reporting issues utilizing introductory (or higher) SQL queries and analytical skills. Provides input into their resolution to the State Reporting management team.
Submits CRM cases for identified issues as required. Escalates unresolved issues to the department management team as appropriate.
As required, creates internal/external facing metrics and reports of state reporting data and activity.
Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of assigned Client-facing reports, to include, but not be limited to: Routine Medical EDI and Non EDI State Reporting Activity reports.
Serves as an entry level Subject Matter Expert, providing technical and analytical guidance and expertise regarding State Reporting to other department personnel under the guidance of the Department’s Program Manager.
As required, assists in the coordination of efforts within the State Reporting Department with projects related to the re-reporting of corrected medical EDI data to various states.
Assists with various routine State Reporting Module (SRM) activities and EDI data transfers as needed.
- Works under the general direction of the Program Manager of State Reporting for
special tasks and/or projects.
Client satisfaction ratings reflect effective communication of each Team’s progress towards established goals and objectives.
Corporate state reporting program is maintained with negligible monetary penalties and sanctions, where reasonable or attributable to StrataCare.
The working environment for this position is an open cubicle that is clean and comfortable. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors and drafts. The incumbent is generally free to move about at will.

These specifications are general guidelines based upon the minimum ordinarily considered essential to satisfactory performance in this position. Individual skills and abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.
A minimum of 5 years experience working in the worker’s compensation bill review industry, with a minimum of 2 years in an EDI reporting or technical based role. A proficient level of knowledge of the StrataCare state reporting module, or a similar product, is highly desired.
Competency to utilize Company software and proficiency in Microsoft software applications and a willingness to learn new systems as necessary.
Minimum of basic level competencies in Microsoft SQL Server
Proven analytical thinking and end-to-end problem solving skills
Ability to prioritize multiple projects on related compliance issues.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
Effective oral, written and presentation skills
Strong orientation to deadline and detail.
Decisive and capable of exercising good judgment under pressure.
