Position: Junior Business Systems Analyst
Location: onsite Irvine, CA
Gather, understand and analyze the business requirements of the clients. Document the requirements and specifications to address the client’s needs. Ensure correctness and quality software delivery.
Functions as a liaison between Production Technology, Account Management teams and business clients in gathering, defining and understanding client’s needs.
Elicits, analyzes, validates, specifies, verifies and manages the requirements of the client.
Transforms the business requirements and solution into Project Charter, Client Requirements Document (CRD) Conceptual Design Document/Functional Specifications (FSD) and Software Change Request (SCR) Documents.
Conducts or Participates in Joint Application Design sessions with Development and Quality Assurance Teams.
Conducts the User Acceptance Test on assigned Projects/SCRs.
Collaborate with Supervisor, Subject Matter Experts, Product Managers to find the best approaches to address the client’s requirements.
Participates, collaborates and engages with Teams, throughout the Software Development Lifecycle to ensure correctness and quality software delivery.
Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
Demonstrates a dependable work ethic.
Collaborates with supervisor to develop skills and knowledge.
Performs all duties in accordance with established Company goals.
Typically these skills result from a Bachelor’s Degree, five or more years of work experience in Business Systems Analysis environment.
Work experience in any of the following business areas in Healthcare is desirable:
Workers Compensation Claims or Group Health Claims/Encounters
Claims Management System
EDI, XML or ANSI X12 837 Transactions
Provider Payment System
Interviewing, facilitation, organizational, modeling and analytical skills necessary to deliver comprehensive requirements to the development staff that will be used to design the application model.
Conduct discussions with individuals and groups about their business needs and ask the right questions to develop essential requirements for the project.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to understand customer-facing challenges
Problem solving skill; the ability to systematically analyze problems, draw relevant conclusions and devise appropriate courses of action
Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong desire to learn.
Effective oral, written and communication skills.
Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple activities with changing priorities simultaneously.
Competency to utilize Company software and proficiency in Microsoft software applications and a willingness to learn new systems as necessary.
Basic math and accounting skills.
Ability to work independently and under strict deadlines.
Physical Demand: Light physical effort. For example, standing, bending, or stooping for extended periods, operating light office equipment, e.g., personal computer, copier, fax machine, etc., manually handling medium weight materials and/or equipment (0 to 10 pounds).
Mental Demand: Moderate to high degree of concentration due to volume, complexity, and/or “pressure” of work.
