Base Billing Program Manager

Role, Purpose, and Scope

The Program Manager shall have overall responsibility for day-to-day management of specific Projects / Programs supported within the USCBO - Base Billing Organization.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manages programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of projects and/or programs into a finished state.

  • Plans and directs schedules as well as project deliverables.

  • Monitors the program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customers or department personnel.

  • Organizes project activities that may require interdepartmental meetings and communication ensuring completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints.

  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations and Finance to develop business cases, metrics, reporting tools and project plans to achieve performance goals and schedule.

  • Creates or maintains reporting to support program or organizational needs.

Background, skills, experience and qualifications

  • BS/BA from an accredited university or equivalent work experience - preferred

  • Fluent in English, both written & verbal

  • Must have prior work experience in data gathering, validation, analysis, summarization, recommendation and presentment

  • Proven ability to translate data into business requirements and functional specifications

  • Exposure/experience with various Xerox systems (eMeters, Bravo, EBS, BWM, CAPS, XEEP, etc.)

  • Change agent with strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong follow-up and attention to detail in a fast-paced operations environment

  • Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative and ability to multi-task in a changing and deadline driven environment

Role specific competencies and requirements

Primary Skillset Needs

  • Experience in program / project management and process development - desired

  • Experience with projection modeling and regression analysis - preferred

  • Quantitative skills, including familiarity with basic concepts in probability and statistics - preferred

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills - preferred

  • Proven strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to interact effectively with associate and management levels - preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) - preferred

Candidate Education:

Minimum Associate Degree / College Diploma /Cegep / A Levels

Preferred Bachelor's Degree

Professional Certifications:

Preferred LSS Green Belt Certification or in process to achieve

Preferred A recognised consulting /project management qualification (e.g. PMI or PRINCE)

Candidate Background:

Minimum Experience in successfully delivering projects to required scope, quality, timescale and budget

Minimum Knowledge of project management principles including proficient use of relevant project management tools

Minimum Able to set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities, and negotiate resources so that work objectives are accomplished on time.

Minimum Previous experience of managing a team of people in a team leader environment or as a project leader

Minimum Ability to perform critical analysis of large complex programs/projects

Minimum Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team oriented environment

Minimum Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide variety of internal and external people, both in formal and informal circumstances, and where necessary to gain their agreement and acceptance
