Role, Purpose, and Scope

Support the operation by analyzing data trends and communicating process improvement opportunities.Provide accurate and timely reporting to management, as well as participate in root cause analysis for operational deficiencies. Individual contributor for translating business requirements into functional specifications and managing requests for changes to the specifications. May assist the business in determining which business requirements can be automated and how they are then integrated. Maintains functional peer relationships and detailed working knowledge of the assigned area’s systems, organization and business process.

Major Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurateand timely operational reporting to management

  • Validateand maintain reports and data extracts

  • Ensurereporting infrastructure aligns withthe strategic system architecture standards

  • Assessoperation performance, translate quantitative and qualitative data intorecommendations that drive measurable business results

  • Work withthe team to design and develop innovative robust data structures andreporting mechanisms to solve business problems, including repetitive andad-hoc requests

  • Developand implement new technical solutions to enhance productivity, improvingcycle time, unrecognized revenue and billing quality

  • Leveragetechnology to build innovative reporting solutions to streamline workprocesses and eliminate non-value add activities

  • Interfacewith various levels of management to facilitate communications and assist inresolution of local issues

  • Consultwith subject matter / technical experts to develop alternative technicalsolutions, advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits and impacts tobusiness

  • SupportAOP (Annual Operating Plan), local and Corporate projects

Background, skills, experience and qualifications

  • BS/BA froman accredited university or equivalent work experience - preferred

  • Fluent inEnglish, both written & verbal

  • Must have prior work experience in data gathering, validation,analysis, summarization, recommendation and presentment

  • Proven ability to translate data into business requirements andfunctional specifications

  • Aptitude with database technology and report delivery tools

  • Experience with data modeling, database design, transacts SQL usingAccess, Oracle or other relational database experience

  • Exposure/experience with various Xerox systems (eMeters, Bravo, EBS,BWM, CAPS, XEEP, etc.)

  • Prior experience in the creation or technical solutions using MS Accessand/or SQL

  • Change agent with strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong follow-up and attention to detail in a fast-paced operationsenvironment

  • Knowledge of Business Objects or other business intelligence reportingarchitectures

  • Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative and ability to multi-taskin a changing and deadline driven environment

Candidate Education:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Professional Certifications:

Preferred Accounting Certification applicable to the geographic area of the role (may be required in some geographies)

Candidate Background:

Minimum Has attained knowledge and experience in own discipline through prior work experience.

Minimum Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Minimum Competent with advanced features & database functionality of Microsoft Excel and Access

Minimum Knowledge of finance principles and relevant internal policies

Minimum Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation

Minimum Proficiency in relevant accounting software

Minimum Proven analytical skills with high degree of attention to accuracy and detail

Minimum Excellent planning and organizing skills

Minimum Effective communications skills, strong business acumen and financial skills

Minimum Demonstrates a proactive approach to work with initiative and drive

Minimum Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team oriented environment

Minimum Able to maintain confidentiality in all assignments and tasks

Additional Role Requirements:

Usual hours are: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Schedule is a guide only, must be flexible and able to work overtime if the project designates.

Light lifting and moving of computer equipment and related accessories may be required
