In Brief

This varied role delivers essential support and output for the Scottish Sales, Channel Partners and Operational teams. In doing so it affords an excellent scope for understanding numerous roles and mechanics of the Company.

You are primarily responsible for: Equipping management with outlooking, reporting or analysis tasks; Supporting the processing of pricing and orders; Helping the Transition team implement new contracts on client sites. There will also be varied ad-hoc requests for support in other guises and with the local office environment.

It would suit a candidate studying a general or specific Business / Management related degree and/or someone with a particular interest in a Sales / Support environment.


§ The role jointly fulfils requirements of the Sales Business Manager and Channel General Manager. It is also flexed to support our Contract Implementation team.

§ The role delivers a range of set weekly requirements as well as a reactive element driven by wins and events in the marketplace, or with specific account and Customer activity.

§ Your output directly equips Management with sales figures and information to run the business, whilst also supporting Sales when responding to tenders or account management activities.

§ Contract implementations are demanding on our resources and the IP Student may support client assessments or fleet roll-outs which can involve performing introductory product training.

§ Ad-hoc activity beyond these areas is likely and adds further to the scope in the role.

§ The Region and the role is tasked with aiding profitable revenue growth.

§ We require an individual with a keen eye for detail, accuracy, urgency and a willingness to deliver to deadlines with a can-do attitude. Competent MS-Office skills (especially Excel) are important.

What will I be doing?

Interacting with the Managers and their team providing sales performance or market/territory related information to help us run the business and maximise Sales opportunities. (Eg Weekly Sales-Outlooking figures).

§ Collating both quarterly and six-monthly Management Information and/or catalogues to be submitted for approval to a key Government Framework. Attending supplier review meetings, ensuring to note and respond to actions raised.

§ Creating trackers, developing spreadsheets with graphical representations and performing analysis to aid reporting or identify trends to highlight new opportunities.

§ Managing the approval of special pricing requests for Channel partners.

§ Attend Sales team meetings and help the team with managing their territories, responding to Tenders or preparing for account reviews.

§ Performing roll-out activities under the guidance of our Transition Manager when implementing new fleet Services contracts – Eg Providing introductory training to new users; Handling customer queries; Administering equipment in-and-out moves.

§ Play an integral part of your local team with responsibility for Charitable, Social, internal Communications or local Facilities requirements.

§ Excellent aptitude to work with figures is essential, with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel.
