QA Director

This Director level position will be responsible for the day to day operations of a Quality Assurance team. The day to day responsibilities of this position will include overseeing Quality Assurance for the organization and managing a team that will be planning and executing tests across a portfolio of applications in development. The candidate will work closely across the organization to understand priorities, make commitments and provide ongoing status updates to management and leads across the organization. We are looking for outstanding candidates with a strong track record of success.

Key skills required

  • 5 years of experience working as Software QA Director

  • Director level experience is required

  • Strong QA Management experience that includes implementing QA Metrics, Processes and Methodology that help measure Development / QA Rate of Improvement

  • 5 years of hands on testing experience

  • Strong Test Plan, Use case, and test documentation experience

  • Functional, Integration, User Acceptance and Regression Testing Experience

  • Prior experience managing Automation and Manual testing teams

  • Experience selecting and recommending QA Automation tools - (Off the shelf products and Open Source)

  • Highly knowledgeable with SDLC

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent degree

  • Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship

  • Must consent to and successfully clear all required pre-employment screenings (background and substance abuse)

Mandatory skills

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large QA and Testing teams

  • Demonstrated ability to manage both onshore and offshore resources

  • Project and Program Management experience

  • Strong process adherence experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other teams

Preferred skills

  • ISO9001 Experience

  • CMMI Experience

  • Experience working with government related systems
