Xerox Transcreation Project Manager in Comunidad Madrid, Spain

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a solid background in translation services to join our Digital, Creative and Language Services team in Madrid as a Transcreation Project Manager, working for one of Xerox’s key clients in the pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of powerful, locally-relevant marketing communications across our customer’s European geography, while promoting the continuous improvement of productivity, service quality and customer satisfaction.

The Transcreation Project Manager will be focused on delivering service that meets SLAs and customer expectations as well as developing strong relationships with a view to achieving productivity improvements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver complex transcreation projects to support product campaigns in line with Service Level Agreement targets (quality, cost, delivery);

  • Develop and maintain quotations, statements of work and project schedules based on project requirements to ensure customer expectations are fully scoped and met;

  • Manage customer expectations and ensure that changing requirements are understood and met by the account team;

  • Manage and track the project team's delivery process from concept design to delivery.

  • Motivate the project team to deliver project objectives and optimum business results and to maintain a customer-first attitude;

  • Analyse and report on project performance (work-in-progress, delivery performance, schedule tracking and project profitability) using problem-solving skills to address below-target results, particularly in the area of account profitability;

  • Act as an escalation route for process issues with the customer and / or other departments within;

  • Identify and resolve all project issues in a timely manner and highlight any opportunities or risks as appropriate. Perform and document risk assessments and root cause analysis;

  • Provide work outlooks to enable operational resource planning; entering planning and budget information and metrics on project planning software as required;

  • Lead operational performance of the direct and virtual elements to achieve business targets for Revenue, Cost, Profit, and Customer Satisfaction.

  • Interface daily with the customer in person, and with Xerox management, service delivery partners and external vendors in a matrixed, virtual team environment.

  • May be required to work onsite at a specified customer location on an ad-hoc basis and to travel to their regional affiliate offices within Europe.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Languages, Translation and/or Marketing Communications or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish are essential

  • Experience working within marketing service agencies across a wide range of digital and non-digital media in multiple languages.

  • Previous experience managing complex projects within the translation, transcreation or localization industry would be an advantage.

  • A solid understanding of briefing, design, copywriting, translation, artworking, production and printing processes, ideally with exposure to brand communications at an international level.

  • Ability to contribute effectively during the campaign briefing and production phases to ensure local and culture-dependent variances, consumer behaviour and market relevance are factored into campaigns.

  • Experience in implementing and maintaining brand, style and terminology guidelines to steer the transcreation process in terms of colours, styles, formats, cultural nuances, language conventions, orthography, regulations and standards.

  • S elf-confidence, with great diplomatic skills, and the ability to juggle the demands of multiple complex projects and customers with excellent attention to detail.

  • Superb organization and prioritization skills with the ability to handle pressure and production peaks while maintaining a strong customer service ethos.

  • Strong account management and project management skills are essential. You will be responsible for ensuring that efficient workflows are defined and adhered to by all parties in the supply chain to meet client expectations around cost, quality and timeframes.

  • Strong financial and commercial awareness (to estimate, quote, invoice and track budgets, cost of service and profitability).

  • PC literacy across Microsoft Office and a range of design packages.

  • Knowledge and understanding of industry-standard CAT tools would be an advantage.
