The role exists to provide our customers with a benchmark customer file testing service encompassing both digital and inkjet environments. Supporting the progression of the sales cycle by ensuring provision of customer print sample file testing that conform to both ISO and customer specific instructions. Consideration to be given to evolution of printing standards and future industry-specific challenges which should be continually appraised to ensure full and correct alignment. The role will ensure that the Xerox Production solution portfolio is fully represented and available in the Centre for all users and client demonstrations.


  • The Production Print Specialist is responsible for theproduction of ISO print samples and customer file testing for InternationalOperations, ensuring agreed SLAs are met.

  • Responsible for ensuring that the devices andProduction solutions are optimally configured and maintained to support clientengagement.

  • To support client-facing activities for Production,both hardware and solutions, in the Innovation Centre, UK.

  • They will be the subject matter expert relating to inkjetand toner–based devices.

  • To provide daily maintenance of all productionproducts & solutions in the Innovation Centre, UK.

  • Be the subject matter expert in delivering ISOcustomer print samples for International Operations.

  • Ensure the Production devices are maintained atoptimum levels at all times. This willinclude daily maintenance as required.

  • Maintain and update production solutions in theInnovation Centre, UK.

  • Use processes in place, and develop new ones ifappropriate, to deliver a consistent print sample experience for all of ourcustomers – both on-site and virtually.

  • Be responsible for the customer print sampleoperation, ensuring best quality output and delivery of SLA at all times.

  • Ensure reporting of customer print sample activityto the European Print Technology Manager on a monthly basis. This to include monthly budgetary managementof this activity.

  • Managing production of samples and takingresponsibility for the consistency of those documents, i.e. ensuring correctcolour management tools are used.

  • Proactive maintenance and regular servicing are theresponsibility of the Production Print Specialist. Any significant down-time to be flagged tothe affected parties.

Background and experience

  • In-depth experienceof inkjet / toner technology plus associated peripherals and solutions.

  • Candidateshould be able to demonstrate a clear and detailed understanding of colour management.

  • Demonstrate aclear understanding of production solutions, e.g. XMPIE, Freeflow Core, DigitalPublisher, etc.

  • Very strongcommunication skills and excellent presentation skills.

  • Flexible and open to new situations and challenges.

  • Able to workindependently, proactively and to tight deadlines but also experience of working in a team, co-ordinating inputs from multiple teamsto meet both internal and external customer expectations.

  • Can demonstrate high performance in a pan-Europeanenvironment.

  • Key understanding of market requirements.

  • Very structuredwork processes.

  • Solid projectmanagement skills.

  • Able tocommunicate effectively to all audiences from sales teams to C-Level.
