Currently, we are seeking excellent BenefitsAdmin Senior Associate to join our team at 1434 Crossways Blvd. Chesapeake, VA 23320 . TheBenefits Associate Senior Associateserves as functional expert providing a single, dedicated point of contact and owner for benefits processing for beneficiaries and survivors. The Specialist has an in-depth knowledge of client concepts in HW and DB, applying comprehensive knowledge of concepts and practices in daily death processing practices. He / She are a dedicated case manager who counsels beneficiaries and survivors on the death process and benefits available to them. Specific tasks are outlined below:
- Shifts will be scheduled during our normal business operating hoursanytime between 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM Monday – Friday (No Weekends). Applicants must have open availability towork any hours scheduled during operating hours!
As a Benefits Admin Senior Associate working in a call center environment, you will be working to support customers with their medical benefits accounts.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Provides administrative support in one or more specialized functions ofBenefits administration.
Responsible for the day-to-day service and administration of benefitplans for assigned clients using established procedures and detailedinstructions.
Performs benefit calculations where required.
Maintains benefits member database.
Prepares benefit statements and year-end update of benefit records.
Provides basic advice and guidance to clients or plan members.
Assists employees in the completion of appropriate forms, calculation ofbenefits or premiums.
Liaises with actuarial staff, senior consultants or senioradministrator/manager, as well as trust company and insurance companyrepresentatives.
Coaches and advises less experienced administrators.
Supervises staff and delegates tasks effectively.
May co-ordinate draft invoices for small to medium sized clients.
All other duties as assigned. Applies acquired job skills and companypolicies to complete assigned tasks.
Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, but recognizes theneed for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requiresinstructions only on new assignments.
At least 24 months call center experience, preferably in an outsourcingenvironment
Exemplary levels of quality performance, defined through achievement andconsistency
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, Access.
Experience with quality monitoring and Survey programs and systems(preferable)
Strong understanding of call center metrics and statistical principals
Advanced knowledge of customer service principles
Advanced customer service and communication abilities
Responds to telephone inquiries and complaints using standard scriptsand procedures.
Gather information, researches/resolves inquiries and logs customercalls.
Make quality assurance calls to client participants.
Serve as a third party vendor to gather information on services providedby larger clients. Experience with Payroll/ Human Resources is preferred.Workday basic System Knowledge is helpful as well.
Preferred education: Associates, BA/BS degree, or Master’s degree.
Must be able to type 35 wpm.
Schedules work to ensure accurate phone coverage; monitors priority ofcalls and shifts escalated calls to assure resolution to problem.
Prepare standard reports to track workload, response time and quality ofinput.
Assists in planning and implementing department goals and makesrecommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
