Job Summary

Xerox Services is seeking a Software Testing Analyst to join the PDSI Quality office team located in Austin, TX. The Software Testing Engineer will contribute in the definition and implementation of testing automation strategy, contribute to test work items that are included in release packages, contribute to automate regression testing that is applied to entire platform before the code is deployed to production environment, and is responsible execution and reporting of all the test activities. The successful incumbent will report directly to the Software QA Director of State Gov’t Platforms

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Participatesin day-to-day QA activities.

  • Maintains,enhances and expands the automation framework and associated tools.

  • Select methods,techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions.

  • Work closelywith Team members (Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Developers andQuality Analysts) to write test plans and test cases according torequirements.

  • Designs,builds, develops and executes manual/automated test scripts.

  • Create andexecute manual test cases/scenarios, performs tests includingfunctional, integration, and regression performance.

  • Create teststrategies for manual execution and automation scope in collaboration withteam members and business partners to ensure test coverage.

  • Test webapplications thoroughly to ensure all features are running smoothly

  • Analyze test resultsand create test reports subsequently communicating reports tostakeholders.

  • Research andresolve issues or provide possible solutions.

  • Participatein code reviews to track, analyze and resolve defects.

  • Collaboratewith the research of techniques and tools related to software testing.

  • Mustcurrently eligible to work for any employer within the United States.

  • Must consentto and successfully clear all required pre-employment screenings.

Requirements

 BA or BS degree in computer engineering, or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of Quality Assurancepractices and tools are required

  • PCI and/or QA Treasuryexperience highly desired

  • Five (5 ) years ofexperience with software testing

  • Knowledge of full systemdevelopment life cycles

  • Excellenttroubleshooting skills, ability to determine the root causes of the reportedissues

  • Strong communicationskills (i.e. verbal, written and interpersonal)

  • Organizational and timemanagement skills

  • Must be currentlyeligible to work for any employer in the United States

  • Must consent to andsuccessfully clear all required pre-employment screenings

Preferred skills:

  • What competencies wouldimprove the performance of your current team?
